Shiga Kogen Yakebitaiyama Ski Resort

Shiga Kogen, at an altitude of 2000 meters, is the largest ski area in Japan, with 18 interconnected ski resorts, which can be skied freely with a single cableway ticket. Yakebitaiyama Ski Resort is the largest independent ski resort among them, and was one of the venues for the 1998 Nagano Olympics. This ski resort is located on Mt. Oyama, which is covered in high-quality powder snow, so it has slopes suitable for skiers of all levels. The Olympic slopes hosted the men's and women's snowboarding slalom events and the men's and women's alpine skiing slalom events during the Nagano Olympics, and were very popular.
