(1-hour tour recommended) *12:00 Lunch nearby (recommended time: 1 hour) *13:00 1-hour drive to Showa Shinzan. *14:00 Arrive at Showa Shinzan, a famous Japanese scenic spot. Not only is it beautiful, it is also one of the youngest mountains in Japan. Showa was built on top of the devastated mountain due to repeated earthquakes in this area from around 1943 to around 1945. A new mountain suddenly rose from the flat wheat fields, growing higher and higher, and now stands at an altitude of 290 meters. Since it appeared during the reign of Emperor Showa, this mountain range was named "Showa Shinzan". (1 hour recommended) *15:00 Drive to Toyako Onsen Town for about 10 minutes Toyako Onsen is the third most abundant hot spring in Japan. It got its name because it is located on the shore of Lake Toya. You can see Lake Toya in its entirety. The view of Mt. Yotei and the lake-colored mountains in the distance is attractive. (1 hour recommended) *16:10 Drive to Nishiji Observatory, the best place to see Lake Toya. You should be able to see 180 degrees, but when you arrive, it is covered in heavy snow. What appeared before your eyes is a pure white snowy landscape that is very beautiful. The snow here is very white, unpolluted, and pure like a fairy tale world.
