Exploring the aesthetics of modules in Japanese architecture
During my trip in Japan, I was fortunate to explore two typical buildings deeply. These architecture not only showed a unique charm of Japanese architecture but also renewed my understanding of modular design. One of the highlights of this trip is the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office designed by Kenzo Tange and the National Museum of art, designed by Kisho Kurokawa. Thanks to our driver's professionalism and passion, this trip has become more perfect.

Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office: concrete dignity and module beauty
Tokyo Metropolitan Government building is one of Kenzo Tange's masterpiece and is known for its unique concrete modular structure. At that time, I stayed at the hotel next to it, so I could easily visit it every day. I was fascinated by the design immediately when I stepped into this building for the first time. Unlike a general skyscraper, there is no wide glass curtain wall here, and the modular structure of concrete is adopted, giving a majestic and majestic impression.
There is a lower square square across the hall. The plan of this area is very clever and not limited to buildings. At night, the light show of the government building attracts many tourists and citizens, and the combination of light and architecture makes the scene more attractive.
I was able to touch a unique subculture in Tokyo. When I was on the subway, about 90% of people noticed that I had a black pants suit on a white shirt. This unified style deepened my understanding of Japanese workplace culture.
National Art Gallery: wavy glass curtain wall and module art space
The National Museum of new art is one of the representative works of Norio Kurokawa. Because it was hot on that day, I spent the afternoon in the building and enjoyed the charm of both art and architecture. The first impression of the museum is wavy glass curtain wall. The whole glass is a curtain wall, but a concrete glass is attached to one module.
The design of the gallery is very clear, and the layout space of the exhibition space and the inverted conical courtyard space are streamlined, and the place where I want to go is easily found. It was very exciting for me because of the exhibition of clamp (original picture of the card capter Sakura) in the building. When you come to Japan, don't forget to touch concrete buildings. You can feel the texture and temperature.
